For those of you old enough to recall the Yacht Classic hit “Sailing” by Christopher Cross, you’ll appreciate this one. No longer is there the need to set sail on the Pacific or the French Riviera for a luxury one week get away cruise. Starting in February of next year, you will be able to cruise comfortably on American Cruise Lines through the Delta. The ship called “American Jazz” will offer eight days starting and ending in San Francisco with stops planned in Napa, Vallejo, Sacramento, and Stockton – a route attributed to the gold rush days. At each of its stops, passengers will be able to engage in local tours and experiences. So, what will a cruise up the Delta run? Prices start at $6,000 but if you require more space, a grand suite with a private balcony can be booked for $11,680 per person.
